Oh my, oh my. It's a Ring Pop! C was absolutely thrilled with this new treat. We've never had Ring Pops before at the Manning household. She found this treasure in her bag of candy from Halloween. I think she had forgotten about it. She noticed it Halloween night, but we had already turned off the candy flow. After I explained what it was, she asked, "Mom, are you sure this is candy. Because if it's a ring, I can have it right now. I can just wear it." I reassured her that it was indeed candy, and she would have to wait until another day to enjoy it.
Well that day has arrived! C sat at the table sucking her Ring Pop, and occasionally asking permission to run to the bathroom to examine her blue tongue and teeth. "It's okay," she said. "They're not stained forever. It's just the blue on the Ring Pop coming off on my mouth. It will go away after awhile." I think she was trying to convince herself, knowing that surely, surely Mom would not allow her to eat something that would stain her forever.
