5 Years Gone

I'm missing my daddy.  I can't yet say that time eases loss.  I think with each passing day, I have a greater yearning for a Daddy Hug.

 The kids love to play in the woods at Nana's house.

I love that I remember playing in the same woods when I was a child.

The girls worked really hard to make a house while the boys did ... well, boy things with sticks and stuff.

The girls had fun preparing "lunch."

M was excited to find such a large pinecone.

The girls were hard at work, making house.

J had fun crossing the raging river dry ditch.

There's nothing better than cowboy soup in a cup for these little ranchers.

Everyone sat in their rooms, except for J who was "itchy all over."

Birthday Blast!

 Today we celebrated A's 4th birthday, and it was a blast!

Visiting family in DeRidder made the day even extra special.  It was a long day, full of presents, doughnuts, playing at a corn maze, eating lunch at Pizza Hut, and enjoying the festivities of the fair.

We greeted A with singing and candles, while it was still dark outside.

A asked for chocolate covered doughnuts for breakfast.

I'm not sure who wanted to play with this more - A or Dad.
