Great Gran's B-day

We had to make a quick trip to Nana's house a couple weeks ago. Some ladies from my home church invited me to join them for supper and share about Church Acadiana. And the timing of the event was perfect!

We weren't expecting to be able to see Aunt Peg and Uncle Dan. They happened to be in town at the same time to celebrate Great Gran's 81st birthday. Uncle Dan was able to snap this cute pic of the kids with Great Gran and Aunt Peg. (Thank you! Thank you!)

I think the girls enjoyed Great Gran's birthday more than she did. They were so excited and couldn't wait to give her her present - and of course blow their party favors in her face. Poor Great Gran.

But she gives me great hope. She had five children - and some of them are closer in age than mine! She says her children are what have kept her going strong. While raising them, she was so busy she never got to slow down. So now her body is trained to not slow down. It seems to work for her. If I can look as good as her at 81, I'm all for it!
