And this is why Andy gets his very own tube of toothpaste. I found this on the bathroom counter this morning, and it made my insides curl. But in Andy's defense, it's not usually this bad. This actually looks like one of the kids got a hold of it. But I do like to dispense from the end of the tube; he tends to find the middle, at least until it starts getting low.
There was a day when we shared toothpaste. It was quite romantic in a wierd sort of way. But then it became harder to find paste (rather than gel) in the Neat Squeeze. We shared a tube for about a month, and it was not romantic. I just couldn't handle it. That's when the big switch was made. One tube for Andy; one tube for Lydia. It's better for the marriage.
We're really looking forward to spending a few days together without all the kids - even if it is in the hospital with a new baby. We're already making plans to snuggle in the hospital bed, since we won't have the huge bump taking up quite as much room. Maybe just maybe in one of those awful middle of the night patient check-up's, the nurse will take his temp and blood pressure, and push on his tummy! And I could actually SLEEP! Probably not. But it will be a nice get-away for us.
Sick out! Who calls a stay in the hospital a nice get-away?! Only the parents of 4 little one's.
