Mama C
C is quite the little mommy. She loves taking care of baby E. When E wakes up in the morning, C gets her out of bed and brings her to the kitchen for breakfast. She's even real close to being able to change her diaper! She is such a great helper. I love having her as my little assistant. She's so great with A. She can give him a bath and get him dressed in his PJ's, including the diaper. She's an amazing little 5 year old. I'm so proud of her. Thanks for all you do C. I really appreciate you.

Bye Bye
Today's plans were to travel to Sulphur right after church. And due to our "kids don't eat in the truck" rule, we enjoyed a quick picnic on the sidewalk before we hit the road.
As the kids were finishing eating, I started the truck so it could begin cooling off. Also I was thinking that this would encourage the kids to get done with lunch so they could get in the AC.
It was a HOT day. But A didn't mind. I even got tired of waiting on him in the hot sun, so I got into the truck with the girls.
Occasionally I rolled down the window to ask A if he was done eating.
His response, "No. Bye bye!"
Yeah. He was fine. Sitting alone, in the hot sun, eating his chips.

Fun with Dad
Every Tuesday night at dinner, the same question is asked.
"So Mom? Do you have your girls' meeting tonight? Are you going to Home Group?
"Yes, I am."
SCREAMS - WHISTLES - WOOHOOS - HOORAYS!!!
The kids love having special time with Dad - without me. I love that they have these bonding moments with Andy, and even more, I love having time away from them!
Here are the kids going wild in the backyard. This is Daddy time.

Daddy Love
There's nothing better than a little mid-day Daddy loving. Andy gets attacked when he comes out of his office.

We got a pet!
But he's gone already.C caught a lizard this morning. She was so excited and really wanted to keep him. I gave her a dish to store him in, and she named him Paco. She spent the next hour trying to catch little bugs for Paco to eat. She put a little grass in the dish. She took great care of him ... for that one hour.
At noon, I went outside to announce lunch and saw A sitting under the swingset, playing with the dish. It was open. Paco was gone. C cried. I told her we'd try again another day.

Put 'em to bed
One evening I had to run a quick errand. Andy and I decided that rather than loading up the family, it would be better for me to run by myself real quick, especially since it was close to the kids' bedtime. As I was leaving I said, "Just put the kids to bed. Don't even worry about PJ's. They can sleep in that. I'll do baths in the morning." I was really hoping to come home to a quiet, peaceful home. Well not quite what I was expecting, but I got quiet and peaceful. Here are my precious kiddos zoned out to the TV. They LOVE America's Funniest Videos. We do to.

The Park
Not only did Uncle Jim and Aunt Kara take us to a fabulous park,
but they treated us to a delish picnic lunch, complete with feta salad!
Way to go Chef Jimbo!
(He so gets his creative food genius mind from Dad. I'm jealous, but I can follow a recipe!)A with his "I'm so happy I'm going to bite my fingers" look.
E with her frequent "What are you idiots doing?" look
